BFS #124 -- The Easy Button

Blogger Friend School
Memory Verse - Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
2 Chronicles 7:14-16

Introduction - I thought that I would hit the “easy button” this week and not only make the assignment light, but also give us a chance to get to know each other better through prayer.

Assignment - This week I would like you to post any prayer requests you have. What is going on in your life that you need prayer warriors for? Feel free to post an unspoken request if you feel it is too personal. Then if you would just take the time to visit as many other BFS buddies as possible, pray for them and then leave them a little note letting them know that you have prayed or will be praying.

Last night when I read this assignment, I wasn't sure what my prayer request for the week would be. This morning, I know: health. Aside from myself -- dealing with phlegm and gunk from my sinuses -- Caleb is also battling a nasty cough, Evie and Andrew are both struggling with low-grade fevers/headache/tummy aches, Sarah still is fighting with a sore back and Doug was up half the night with an upset stomach. The twins are fine, praise God!

So this week, please pray that our bodies readjust to being home and that our immune systems get back into step...a.s.a.p.!

In addition to that prayer request, though, I want to add a praise -- it is SO good to be home! We had a fantastic trip to the States and spent some wonderful time with old friends and new. God watched over us every step of the way and showed Himself powerful again and again. And now we're home. And it feels really good.

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power which is at work within us, unto Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, world without end. Amen!

I'm so glad you're home too...there's just no place like being at home. I'm sorry your family is still not feeling well. We will pray for your health to return.

Did you snort your goldenseal/salt stuff??!! YIKES!

Have you ever heard of snorting about 10 drops of hydrogen peroxide with the same amount of water? It actually works really well and has cured my sons nose bleeds. It only hurts a little bit.

Father,
I pray for your healing power for this family, and your protection from illness for the twins yet untouched by this sickness. Please keep them so close that they can feel you in every moment of the day.
In Christ's name, Amen.
